Nigio has announced several key AI announcements at its Global Technology Conference (GTC 2026), including new models for autonomous robots, cars, and more. The company also announced that Uber will add Nvidia-powered robotaxis to cities as early as 2027 and that more lifelike robotics could be used to create robotic characters at Disney World. CEO Jensen Huang described the "ChatGPT moment" for self-driving cars as the company's "peak moment". The company released several new foundation models for improving how robots and vehicles function in the real world, including Cosmos 3, Isaac GR00T N1.7, an "open reasoning vision language action (VLA) model" for humanoid robots, and Alpamayo 1.5, another reasoning VLA model that gives cars better navigation guidance and prompt specification. Additionally, Nvidia is expanding its partnership with Uber to include a fleet of autonomous vehicles powered entirely by Nvidia's Drive AV software in 28 cities across four continents by 2028, with Los Angeles and San Francisco starting earlier in 2027. The firm is working with T-Mobile and Nokia to develop a physical AI radio network infrastructure to support the data that makes or breaks physical AI systems.
