The Oklahoma bill would prohibit non-disclosure agreements in child sexual abuse cases. The bill would create the CINDY CLEM Act, which would create a system where an offender could be prosecuted regardless of the amount of time it takes for victim to speak freely. The act would also protect the identity of victims and prevent abusers from concealing them. The author of the bill, Rep. Chris Kennedy, one of the three authors on it, expressed relief over its progress towards making law stronger for children's rights and preventing child pornography. If passed, the bill would allow for church visits to children's homes and schools.
