South Florida flight attendant with a rare kidney disease receives new one from church friend

South Florida flight attendant Jenn Menco, who suffers from a rare kidney disease called lupus nephritis, had to undergo dialysis after an emergency trip to the hospital in 2022. Despite her health issues, Menco remained positive and focused on her dream job as a flight attendant, which allows her to travel all over the world. Sharon Figueroa, a friend from her church, decided to donate one of her kidneys to Menco and completed all necessary testing to be approved as a donor. The surgery was successful and Menco was able to return to her job as flight attendant.
