Meteorologist, MO ROSE, has updated the status of a TORNADO WATCH for Kentucky, Indiana, which will extend until 6:00pm on the evening of the day. The area is currently under a watch and not a warning due to the potential for strong to severe storms. The watch is expected to be put in place until 6pm on Wednesday evening, with a more likely chance for a tornado warning later on the day due to a strong-to-severe storm system expected to pass across the region. ROSE also highlighted a potential tornado outbreak in the area, with winds reaching up to 45MPH expected later in the afternoon. The severe weather is causing widespread power outages across Kentucky and Indiana, with temperatures reaching 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
