Louisian Gov. Jeff Landry has criticized judges for lenient sentencing, stating that violent crimes committed in public places should be life imprisonment regardless of age. This comes after a recent shooting at the Mall of Louisiana left six people shot, killing one of them. Landry also mentioned the 18,000 acres at Angola, another name for the Louisiana State Penitentiary. The comments came during a news conference in Baton Rouge following the shooting.
