A Florida man, Kersten Francilus, has been arrested and charged with first-degree premeditated murder for allegedly stabbing an elderly woman in an "unprovoked" attack as she walked her dog in her neighborhood. The victim was described as a woman in her mid-70s. The Martin County Sheriff's Office stated that the attack was random and that Francilus was acting strangely when he approached the victim. The sheriff described the suspect as a man who was acting suspiciously and asking about a new bank. Despite attempts to intervene, the victim died shortly after due to significant injuries. The investigation remains ongoing and no motive has been determined.
