Medina must survey untitled land before moving forward on bridge replacement

The city of Medina, Ohio, has been informed that a stretch of land near the South Huntington Street bridge replacement project is untitled, requiring a survey and an estimate of its value. This will require an ordinance authorizing a quiet title action and appropriation action to be filed with the common pleas court. The cost of the project is estimated at $1.65 million, with about 95 percent covered by a $2.5 million grant from the ODOT municipal bridge program.
