House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) has accused President Trump of launching an "all-out war" in the Middle East following a series of strikes on Iran. Jeffries and other Democrats have remained unsupportive of the attacks, questioning the military strategy in the region given past tensions and alleging that Trump's actions are illegal as Congress has not granted permission for the U.S. to go to war with Iran. He also stated that while he would support bombings in Iran if they were limited to striking missiles, missile launchers, and its manufacturing capability, Jeffries questioned the justification for the actions.
