Steven Alker won the Cologuard Classic at La Paloma Country Club, beating Padraig Harrington. Alker had a 62 on Saturday and moved up the leaderboard to be in the second-to-last group to tee off on Sunday. Harrington had a one-shot lead but Alker's steady play and Harrington's two bogeys on the back nine helped him secure the win. The tournament, which raises awareness for colorectal cancer screening, also had over 500 people affected by colorecontal cancer attend. Alkers received $330,000 of the $2.2 million purse at the event.
