Delta CEO, other airline CEOs urge Congress to restore DHS funding, pay airport workers

The CEOs of American, Delta, Southwest and JetBlue have urged Congress to restore funding to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and implement a bipartisan solution to pay federal aviation workers during the partial government shutdown. The CEOs, who also included the CEOs of UPS, FedEx and Atlas Air, called for the Aviation Funding Solvency Act and the Keep America Flying Act to ensure air traffic controllers are paid regardless of the government's funding status. This is the third shutdown in less than a year to leave TSA workers temporarily without pay and must wait for back pay once the government reopens.
