A home healthcare worker, Stephen Seiter, was caught on surveillance stealing pills from an elderly patient on Nov. 3 at a client's home in Friendswood, Texas. The victim's daughter reported finding 16 hydrocodone tablets and 42 tramadol tablets missing from her mother's medicine drawer. Seiter was charged with burglary but has since bayed out of jail. His attorney, Jed Silverman, stated that Seiter will be exonerated when the facts are presented. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires pre-employment background checks and AARP Texas encourages hiring from a licensed agency.
