High school athlete Quincy Rainey, a junior from Rockwood Summit High School, began struggling to breathe and was rushed to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital with his heart failing. His family initially thought he had bronchitis, but treatment failed to cure it. His heart failure diagnosis was diagnosed as compensated heart failure. As he waited for a new heart, his family urged others to consider becoming organ donors, a decision that could potentially save his life. The Festival of Miles Foundation is helping Quincy, naming him as one of their athletes in need.
