Pentagon: Anthropic's foreign workforce poses security risks

The Pentagon has raised national security concerns about Anthropic's use of foreign workers, including many from the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), raising concerns about the company's reliance on global talent. The use of these foreign nationals increases the degree of adversarial risk if they comply with the PRC's National Intelligence Law. The Pentagon argues these concerns extend beyond disagreements over domestic mass surveillance and autonomous weapons. However, the Pentagon is still relying on Anthropic and is willing to extend the company’s tools as necessary.
