Arrest made in murder of 15-year-old considered a missing child, police say

Cincinnati police have arrested 19-year-old Jah'Meier Jackson for the murder of 15-year old Nazir Owens. Owens was found with a gunshot wound on March 22 and had been reported missing in August 2024. Despite being listed as a missing child on the Ohio Attorney General's Office's website, Owens was still enrolled at Taft High School. It is unclear if anyone knew about Owens' whereabouts prior to his death.
