Not so Sweet 16: Louisville knocked out of NCAA Tournament by Michigan

Louisville women's basketball was defeated by Michigan in the second week of the NCAA Tournament, marking the team's first time since 2023. The Cards jumped out to a 7-0 lead and held the Wolverines scoreless through the first quarter. Michigan went on an 18-2 run to close out the first half and had a 32-27 lead at the break. However, in the third quarter, Michigan found momentum again and extended their lead by 17 going into the final 10 minutes. Despite this, Louisville struggled to score and secure an offensive board. Elif Istanbulluoglu led the Cards with 18 points and seven rebounds. The team's season ended with a 29-8.
