FedEx is leading a major AI literacy initiative, delivering 'promotion-ready' AI training to over 400,000 workers across the company. The initiative was launched in December in partnership with tech consulting firm Accenture and aims to make employees more knowledgeable, efficient and promotion-ready. The program is also intended to stimulate innovation among employees at all levels. The training includes personalized role-based training designed to evolve as technology changes. The company's most recent annual report revealed that it has 440,000 global workers and continues to introduce new AI capabilities from every end of the organization. While the program is still in its infancy, it is already seeing the effects of the AI quotient, with frontline workers seeking corporate roles at a higher rate. However, less than a third of organizations are embedded continuous AI training, according to Accenture's 2026 Pulse of Change report.
