UCLA women's basketball team defeated Cal Baptist 96-43 in the opening round of March Madness. The top-seeded UCLA team was led by Lauren Betts with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Kiki Rice contributed 18 points. Despite a slow start from Cal Baptist, the team managed to control the game in the second half. They outscored the Lancers 52-9 over the final two quarters. Cal Baptist's only player to score double figures was Chance Bucher.
