US to give $100 million to repair damaged Chornobyl nuclear shelter, Kyiv says

The United States is set to contribute $100 million towards repairs of the vast radiation containment dome at the Chornobyl plant in northern Ukraine, where the world's worst atomic accident occurred in 1986. The dome was damaged by a Russian drone last year. The cost of the repairs is estimated to be around 500 million euros.
