The Big 12 women's and men's basketball tournaments begin in Kansas City, bringing a two-week college party to the Power and Light District. The conference will also debut a new kind of basketball court, ASB GlassFloor, made up of LED panels, which can display designs and animations during the game. This is the first time in the U.S. this technology will be used in tournament competition. Fan Fest will include college pep rallies, free watch parties, and an afterparty hosted by DJ Khaled on March 14. Both tournaments are expected to have a combined economic impact of $34.3 million.
