The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the drowning of 4-year-old Nhayan Zeyed Almessabi in Deerfield Township, while the boy's body was found in Al-Char Lakes. In Northern Kentucky, a girl with autism was also found in a pond after she was reported missing the night before. The tragedies have sparked a campaign by Empath for Autism, a local nonprofit advocating for legislation to protect children near bodies of waterways. The group's petition has over 3,000 signatures and aims to gather 10,000 before sending it to lawmakers.
