Energy Secretary Chris Wright has pledged to personally review his posts on social platform X after a controversial deleted post about a military escort was misinterpreted by the White House, which caused a significant disruption in the market and caused significant losses. The White House disputed the post, stating that the military had not yet escorted any oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping lane between Iran and Oman. The Energy Department responded by saying its staff was behind the incorrect captioned post and will not tolerate such a miscommunication.
