Bobby Medrano, manager at Favorite Pizza near West Sixth Street in Austin, witnessed a mass shooting that occurred around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. He was alone in the restaurant when the shots began, initially believing it to be a disagreement. Medrano took cover and waited for up to 30 minutes before seeing people sprinting down West Avenue. He later learned of the scale of the shooting, which resulted in three deaths and dozens more injuries. The restaurant is offering counseling services to its employees and neighboring bars and restaurants.
