Judge threatens Trump admin with ‘serious consequences’ over DC golf course plans during wild hearing

US District Judge Ana Reyes has warned the Trump administration that it must give proper notice before renovating the East Potomac Golf Links in DC. Reyes expressed concern that the administration may proceed with construction first and then deal with the legal fallout later. Attorneys for the administration argued that the golf course will remain open, despite a report from NotUS stating that renovations would begin Monday. The anti-Trump Democracy Forward group lodged an emergency petition urging the court to stop the administration from starting work. Despite this, Reyes rejected the group's request for a temporary restraining order and allowed maintenance work on the property.
