A man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman and hiding himself inside a residence in West Sacramento. The incident occurred on the 100 block of Alameda Boulevard and was initially connected to activity near Jefferson Boulevard. Police spent an hour attempting to get the suspect to surrender, but he refused and eventually barricaded himself inside the home. The suspect was taken to a hospital for medical clearance and charged with charges related to domestic violence and a violation of a restraining order.
