Nac Safe Place, a non-profit organization dedicated to mental health, hosted a "Fred Talk" at Fredonia Brewery in Nacogdoches, Texas. The group, founded in 2022, aims to change the stigma surrounding mental health and is set to host its first suicide awareness walk in 2023. Founder and CEO Alana Robertson emphasized the importance of listening to people who struggle, not judging them. The event was part of a larger effort to shift the stigma away from mental health. The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
