Polls have consistently found majorities of Americans opposing U.S. military action in Iran, despite Republicans remaining broadly supportive of President Donald Trump's actions. NBC News polling conducted from Feb. 27 to March 3 found 52% of registered voters said the US should not have taken military action against Iran, while 41% supported the action. Since then, polls have found persistent majorities opposing the military operation, with Republicans remaining steadfast in their support. The latest Reuters/Ipsos poll showed 60% of Americans disapproving of strikes against Iran and 43% supporting it. While public opinion is divided about the war's impact on the US, larger shares have expressed concerns about its making America less safe.
