Former Helldivers 2 developers, Linus Larsson and Mattias Syngg, are working on a Resident Evil-inspired horror game, Silver Pines, inspired by their previous game, Yoku's Island Express, which featured a pair of developers who contributed to the game. They reminisced about their past game, which was too happy and needed some more democratic violence after shipping the previous game. The pair are now working on something more horror-flavored, combining their experiences with the aesthetic of their previous games.
