Geauga County housing authority director to resign, citing tension with board

The executive director of the Geauga Metropolitan Housing Authority, Dawn Farrell, has announced her intention to resign due to tension with the board. Board Chair Jeff Markley described the situation as "incredibly unfortunate" and said it could have been avoided. Markley also outlined new expectations for the board's handling of housing authority matters, including that issues related to the authority will only be addressed during board meetings and on approved agendas, or during executive sessions.
