Car park operator National Car Parks (NCP) has filed for administration in the UK, a process similar to filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. The company operates over 340 car parks across the country, including those at major airports such as Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham. The move puts the future of the 680 employees employed by NCP at risk. Global audit company PricewaterhouseCoopers is overseeing the case. While filing for administration gives a company 10 days to present a restructuring plan before administrators can take action, early reports suggest a collapse could be imminent.
