Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has suggested that the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump in 2024 was a hoax. She shared a post on X from Trisha Hope, a GOP delegate to the 2024 Republican National Convention, suggesting that the timing of the assassination was "divide intervention". Greene also questioned why Trump's Secret Service detail failed him and allowed him to be shot, and their perfectly timed photo op was filmed. She also expressed concern that since the assassination attempt, Trump has shown no interest in investigating the truth.
