Man, Phillip Lovely, has pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated murder in the stabbing of Butler County deputy, Mike Farthing. The charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal, with Lovely set to be sentenced on June 3. The man is being held in a nearby jail due to the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. Prosecutors allege that Lovely attempted to force the deputy to kill him in an attempt to escape. He is also being housed in the same jail as the deputy. Lovely is accused of setting his girlfriend's car on fire in an anger over a breakup. The judge has increased his bail to $750,000.
