A Newark man, Munir Muhammad, has been charged with second-degree receiving stolen property, third- and fourth-degree counts of resisting arrest. The car was stolen from a vehicle customization shop in Elmwood Park and was tracked down through several North Jersey towns before it was spotted in Upper Saddle River and police used spike strips to control it. The vehicle eventually came to a stop with a flat tire and multiple occupants fled the vehicle on foot. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Bergen County Jail.
