McCook Lake cleanup continues, volunteers needed

Cleanup efforts are ongoing nearly two years after historic flooding in McCook Lake, South Dakota, where residents continue to pick up the pieces. Volunteers are needed to clean up debris left behind after the lake water receded over the winter, which Renae Hansen from the McCook Lac Izaak Walton League is focusing on cleaning up items left behind, such as broken bottles, trash, and even an entire bag of clothes. The cleanup begins at 10 a.m. on March 21st in McCOOK Lake and will be held at 269 Westshore Drive. The volunteers should bring boots, bug spray and sunscreen.
