The Taste of Artificial Sweeteners Is All in Your Head, Study Finds

A study by researchers from Radboud University, the University of Oxford, and The University of Cambridge has found that the taste of artificial sweetener is all in the user's mind. The study found that when participants were told they were consuming artificial sweeteners, they found it less enjoyable. This could be because the brain area processes increased nutrients or calories of sweet flavors. The researchers also found that 27% of participants couldn't distinguish sugar from artificial sweetened.
