The Onion Reaches Deal to Relaunch Alex Jones' Infowars as Parody Site

The Onion has secured a deal to take over Infowars, the right-wing conspiracy website run by Alex Jones, as part of a two-year effort to get justice for the Sandy Hook families. The deal, which involves The Onion's parent company Global Tetrahedron, will pay $81,000 per month for six months to license Inforwars.com and its associated intellectual property. However, it still requires approval from a judge in Texas' Travis County District Court. The Onion plans to launch a comedy site via Infowar. Comedian Tim Heidecker will be the creative director of the Infowears.
