Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has refused to take responsibility for the surge in measles cases in the United States, blaming Mennonites, immigrants at the border, and other countries for the crisis. Despite testifying before Congress about President Donald Trump's 2027 budget request, Kennedy has been evasive about the issue. Thousands of Americans have contracted measles on Kennedy's watch, largely unvaccinated. He has been accused of misleading people about the severity of the virus and downplaying its impact.
