NASA's Chandra Finds Young Stars Dim Quickly - NASA

A recent study by the NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory has revealed that young Sun-like stars are dimmer in X-rays than previously thought. The study looked at eight clusters of stars between the ages of 45 and 100 million years old. The researchers found that these stars released only about a quarter to a third of the expected X-radiation. This discovery is considered a benefit for life on orbiting planets.
