Jason Chatham and Melissa Wood were killed in a double shooting outside a Walgreens in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, a week after their deaths. Chatham's niece, Aliya Jade, described Chatham as "Uncle Dirt" and "the life of the party" who brought energy wherever he went. The family also tried to maintain a sense of normalcy after the loss. The accused killer, Christian Barrios, is being held without bond and is facing multiple counts of first-degree murder and other felony charges. The victim's son, Blade, still plays baseball the day after the shooting.
