Robert G. Stricko, a lifelong Ohioan resident, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital on February 27, 2026. He was born in 1938 and was a graduate of Chaney High School and worked at Schwebel Baking Company for 30 years. After high school, Strickos played minor league baseball for the New York Giants organization and served in the National Guard. His passion for baseball was to teach area youth the fundamentals of the game and he was an avid fan of the Yankees. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Kolkov, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
