K9s For Warriors is partnering with local veterans in East El Paso to pair them with specially trained service dogs to help them manage PTSD and other invisible wounds of war. The initiative is part of K9's first Operation: Reach Every Warrior, which aims to expand access to service dogs for veterans nationwide. The program also partnered with El Paso Animal Services to identify potential service dogs and transport seven rescued shelter dogs to the organization's headquarters in Ponte Vedra, Florida, where training has already begun. This initiative comes as veteran suicide remains a major concern, with an average of 20 veterans die by suicide each day in the United States.
