National Intelligence Director, Tulsi Gabbard, will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee following the resignation of top counterterrorism official, Joe Kent, over the Iran war. Kent, who was among the officials involved in the administration, had stated he could not in "good conscience" support the war and that Iran posed no imminent threat to the US. Gabbad, who has previously criticized "regime change" wars, will be asked to defend President Donald Trump's handling of the U.S.-Israeli aerial assault on Iran, which has entered its third week. Her response to the war could define her political career and her image as a veteran determined to keep America out of imperial quagmires.
