The legendary Phoenix restaurant, Durant's, has been named the most iconic steakhouse in Arizona by Business Insider. The ranking was based on customer reviews, local history, longevity, and cultural significance. The restaurant opened in 1950 by Jack Durant and has been a staple for 75 years. After closing in 2025, the restaurant was sold to Prime Steak Concepts, the company behind Steak 44 and Dominick's Steakhouse, who made significant renovations and upgrades. Despite these changes, the owner, Jeff Mastro, stated they wanted to preserve the magic of the restaurant.
