The suspect, 33-year-old Jorge Garcia, was identified by officers as the suspect and remains in custody at the Clark County Detention Center with no bail set. The incident occurred after a woman called 911 to report her ex's ex-husband, who was threatening her with a gun. This case is not isolated and reflects a trend of domestic violence, with 6 of the 20 homicides investigated so far this year in Metro's jurisdiction. The killing also marks the sixth homicide this year of the Enterprise Area Command, which is now leading the valley in 2026.
