On Saturday, Uptown hosted Adams Avenue Unplugged, a free musical walkabout in which over 90 artists performed in various venues throughout the neighborhood. The annual event, which started in 2012, took place on a two-mile stretch through UptOWN's neighborhoods, including University Heights, Normal Heights and Kensington. With no need to RSVP or purchase a ticket, guests were able to choose from various performances, which included new and returning artists from all over San Diego's music festival scene. Among the returning artists were Amanda Portela, who blended Latin jazz, R&B and alternative rock with Latin jazz. The Gravities, The Beard and The Bird, The Gravity, and So Deke Dickerson, the last performer of the day, were featured. The event was set to continue next year after 2026's successful 2026 installment.
