The Backside Learning Center (BLC) in Louisville, Kentucky, is supporting the workers and their families on its backside during the Derby season. The organization also offers programs for teens, including a program called "Mi Mundo Interior" which teaches them about mental health. The program is designed to teach teenagers whose families work on the backside how to manage their mental health better. The final session of the program was held on Friday. The center's youth coordinator, Ximena Villalobos, urges the wider community to support the families who make Derby possible in all aspects of their lives.
