Matvei Rumiantsev, a 23-year-old Russian man, has been sentenced to four years in prison for assault and two years for perverting the course of justice after he reported an alleged attack on his friend in London in 2025. The victim was allegedly beaten up while on holiday. Rumiantev had previously written to her accuser from prison after the attack, asking her to withdraw her allegations.
