Jaxn Zane Romney, a 21-year-old man, was arrested for several felony child sex crimes after he allegedly met with an officer from the Box Elder County Attorney's Office posing as a teenage girl online. The officer was part of his assignment with the attorney's office and the state's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Despite initially believing he was 16, the conversation turned sexual, with Romney reportedly sending two explicit disappearing images and requesting to send him explicit images three times. On Wednesday, the officer stopped at Romney's residence and took him into custody.
