The future of the rumored folding iPad may not be realized, as it is being developed behind closed doors and may only be an experimental prototype. The project, led by incoming CEO John Ternus, has been a priority for Ternusky while in his new role as CEO, may result in a change in priorities for him as he manages the entire company and spends less time on hardware projects. The folding iPad was reportedly due to design issues, including a lack of practicality and inability to type on it.
