Investigation underway into man’s shooting death off Greenwell Springs Road, coroner’s office says

The East Baton Rouge Coroner's Office is investigating a shooting that left one person dead on March 11. The shooting occurred around 9 a.m. and is being investigated as a homicide. The victim was identified as 44-year-old Marcus Franklin. The case is currently being investigated by the Department of Justice.
