Despite the allegations, despite a criminal referral for prosecution to the Bronx district attorney's office and a transfer from the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau, he remains on full duty. The woman's lawsuit alleges that Scheblin attempted to silence her and obstruct the criminal investigation by offering her a better-paying position, tampering with surveillance, and threatening to shoot her if she ever made a public accusation. The judge overseeing the lawsuit has been ordered to remove Scheublins from his position.
